FLO(we){u}R

With Joseph Madrigal

FLO(we){u}R highlights a little known detail of American history. Terra cotta factories, which produced the remarkable facades on the building in downtowns across the country, were commissioned to make dummy bombs for the military during WWI. For these durational performance in Chicago and at The Soap Factory, we became a site of factory production, re-enacting the making of clay dummies.

In each city, we perform what we call poetic-undoings. These activities create new white spots on the landscape, often with white blooming seeds.
