Paleo.pdf

Paleo.pdf uses the material of the archive to expose forms of knowledge. While the specifics on the microfilm are inaccessible to the naked eye, it can be read — the legibility of the microfilm is not from the individual words, but rather from our familiarity to the indexical. The negatives act as a source and promise for greater detail while the culture of preserved text/images suggests a treasure trove. The sculpture is a glut of information and a portal, which viewers are invited to enter.
